Girl Meets Tech is a community for everyone in tech. We keep things simple, and we only collect the information we actually need to run the site and feature your work. Here's the plain-language version.
What we collect
- Newsletter sign-ups: your email address, so we can send you updates.
- Submissions: when you submit an article, product, or event, we collect what you give us, your name, email, the content itself, links, and any images you share.
- Basic analytics: anonymous, cookieless usage data (like page views and general location) so we can understand what's helpful. This doesn't identify you personally.
How we use it
- To review and publish the submissions you send us.
- To send newsletter updates, if you signed up.
- To reach out about your submission if we need to.
- To understand how the site is used and make it better.
Cookies
We don't use tracking or advertising cookies, so there's no cookie banner to click through. Our analytics are cookieless by design.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We use a few trusted services to run the site:
- Supabase stores submissions and newsletter sign-ups.
- Vercel hosts the site and provides cookieless analytics.
These providers only process your data so the site can function, nothing more.
Keeping your data
We keep submissions and sign-ups for as long as they're useful to the community. You can ask us to remove your information at any time.
Your choices
- You can unsubscribe from the newsletter whenever you like.
- You can ask us to update or delete your information.
